Crowns and Bridges

Captek crowns Captek bridges are designed to disperse light like natural healthy tooth structure while maintaining a natural look at the gum line. Captek crown and Captek bridge designs reduce accumulation of harmful bacteria at the gum line by 90% compared to natural tooth structure, due to the advanced Captek gold material. As far as strength and durability of a Captek crown and bridge, the physical properties of the advanced Captek gold material are designed to reduce the stresses between the porcelain and the Captek gold, which provides the Captek crown exceptional strength and durability.

The Captek Coping is composed of about 88.2% gold, 9.0% platinum-group metals (including 4.0% pure platinum), and 2.8% silver. Captek copings contain particles in which as much as 60% platinum-group metals serve as the filler of the composite metal and the matrix is high-gold-content.

The Captek coping thickness is 0.25 mm for anterior teeth and premolars, and 0.35 mm for molars. The metal can be made as thick as desired for lingual collars, interproximal extensions, and occlusal surfaces.
